    Has anybody painted the chrome cross bars on the grill I want to paint them black .what prep what paint any ideas ?

    Sand them back with fine grade wet and dry until you have a nice flat finish. Spray with black acrylic to match the rest of the grille. I agree those heavy horizontal bars look naff.

    Yep, best idea - you can get gloss finish too.

    I had all the chrome/silver bits wrapped in matte black

    I also had the rear badge plasti dipped and the little front side indicators tinted.

    Yes .mate I removed the bars from the grill a bit fiddly but not to hard I thought they were metal but they are plastic got them done gloss black clipped them back in looks great alters the front totally.
