Hi guys, I've had similar problems with my VZ SS 6.0L but it's an automatic. I've got a whining noise when cruising at about 60 km/h and accelerating. When I take the foot off the accelerator the noise disappears. Took the car for a drive with a technician and was told the diff needed replacing. Mind you this is on a car that has 3,000kms on the clock and never driven hard 100% of the time just the occassional squirt. The guys at the dealer went and had a chat to Holden and now getting a new diff not a reconditioned one. The Immobiliser Fault i had a couple of times. I changed keys and the problem hasn't come up again. Had the faulty key replaced at the 3,000km service.
