Good point mate as for me il take the risk plus i like to do a bit of d.i.y. But the op might want to take what you said in to account.^^^ The difference there is business insurance. If you stuff it, you have to pay for the respray.
Hey guys, new to the forum but i have been browsing here for a while. Story is i got a set of 20inch wheels for my VE SSV 8.5's on the front and 9.5's on the rear. anyway the rears are scrubbing on the guards. I rang the guy and explained i wasn't real happy. he said try Sydney Guard Rolling. has anyone dealt with him before and does it crack the paint.
Thanks
Most wheel places can roll the guards for you.. Why did you go 9.5 on the rear?
Why not???
The HSVs run 20x9.5 on the rear with 275/30R20s and they fit perfect with no scrubing because there the correct offset which is 57P.
For 20x9.5 with 35P yes you need the gaurd rolled even if you go to a 245/35R20 on the rear (that's the HSV front tyre size) if your cars lowered n tucking tyre
The paint on VEs are prone to cracking when the guards ate rolled so pay a professional for the best results and always heat the gaurds before rolling, no matter who's doing it or what car it is.
