i today when i washed my car i noticed the inside of my guard on the passenger side front the plastic was totaly worn off liek the liner inside the guard where the coolant overflow bottle is the tyre loosk liek it has been rubbign and has done this , what has caused it it hasnt happend on other sie it also looks liek that wheels i further forward than the other , i recently put z shaped sway bar links in coudl this affect it
Non standard wheels/suspension is the most likely reason. Another reason could be the front end being out due to crash damage. Reaper
standard wheels and standard suspension suspension is sagged at back a little bit didnt think this woudl matter , is there a way to fix this i did go sideways at 80kmph into a ditch and come to a sudden stop altho i didnt hit nethink and was a few months ago now , it isnt rubbing now or when it is on full lock i dont no when it rubs ?
A sudden stop from 80 could bend all sorts of things under there. Go and see pedders or a suspension specialist to check that everything is where it should be. It may only rub when you have the suspension loaded up - eg going around a corner with the wheels pointed at a certain direction at med/high speed. Reaper
Castor rod and castor bush are probably fubar. Will be bent and possibly the K frame is off centre. They don't move much just bend.
can u realign k frame , the chassie and everythink is ok when i crashed i had my car meesured and was all still straight
don't ever type the word everythink again it makes you look stupid. Could be as simple as the clips on the plastics having come out. Happens easily on a number of different cars. At speed the plastics is pushed onto the tyre. Needn't be anything major but best get it checked if it isn't an obvious cause.
yeah nah checked th eplastic the gap between wheel and guard is definaterly diffrent on each side looks like i could be up for a new k frame
Doubt the k frame is finished. Might be one or two of the locating arms coming from the K Frame. A wheel allignment place should be able to check the castor on the front wheels and compare their relative locations. I had a smash and one wheel was about 5cms further back than the other due to the castor rod having flexed straight.
