After this fell through in Feb 2016, they issued a statement which included:
As discussions have been governed by a Non-Disclosure Agreement, neither party involved is able to discuss details of the proposal, nor the assessment.
Some SA politicians said they wanted to get to the bottom of this, but nothing ever happened.
Now it is interesting that by then GM had already told Holden "you are going to being making Opel Insignias after the VF" before killing off manufacture altogether.
My conjecture is that Guido offered to buy the factory for market value if they gave him the Zeta platform for a peppercorn, since GM had written it off, but GM said piss orf mate!
