h beam conrods with hole drilled through beam

hey just bought a set of 5.700 lj h-beam chev conrods had a look when they arrived and there is an approx 8mm hole drilled through the beam of the rod just under the big end has any one had any experience with rods like this just a little concerned as its a blown application

perfectly normal mate. it's there to reduce weight and reduce windage. won't effect the strength and they have been doing it in F1 for years.
