Lol its not on the car yet, just wondering why n what purpose.

Most likely I'll be leaving it as is until its installed and I can always swap out the centre section down the track.

can i throw a WILD guess out there with no basis of fact whatsoever?

well its never stopped me before so here goes:

id guess it has something to do with balancing the two pipes which are a different length before they enter the muffler:

Why isn't there one after the mufflers then? The RH pipe is longer than the LHS.

It's there to make the exhaust as quiet as possible, that's all. Look up HelmHoltz tuner. That's the effect it has.

the dual H pipes are most likely tuned for different rpm bands to get a better torque spread
