Hand brake issue.

Hey everyone thanks for reading any advice would be great.

I have a series 1 VT Berlina, and just recently have noticed an issue with the hand brake. I have been told roughly 2 months ago that the hand brake needs adjusting, but just in the last 2 days have noticed an issue. It seems, just randomly, the hand brake alarm chimes, all i have to do is just twitch the hand brake lever to turn it off, not even up and down, just side to side.

Im wondering if anyone has any advice on how to sort this out? thanks guys

So i take it the handbrake is fully down when the light is comming on? if so it will be the switch in the handbrake assembly
