Hand brake shoe retainer spring installation help

I pulled the hand brake shoe off in order to replace the wheel bearing and abs speed sensor had to wait about a week to get the parts in now I'm putting it back together I can't recall how the retainer spring for the hand brake shoe goes in (the missus says its old timers kicking in). I am hoping that someone will be able to explain it sufficiently to jog my memory or provide a link to a diagram

After several beers and a good night's sleep I had another look at it and figgered it could only go 1 of2 ways and yep 2nd try I got it the bit that kicks up goes to the back of the car
