handbrake alarm, but no light after cluster swap

I recently swapped the dash cluster in my VR calais as the previous cluster's LCD's had bled out, straight swap same for same, but after the swap my handbrake alarm is operating fairly consistently, but the warning light doesn't come on, even with the handbrake up.

I also pulled the centre console out that day to replace globes around the shifter, and also changed the globe in the trip computer button module.

Any ideas on how to fix it? Im selling the car shortly, not the best way to woo buyers.

are you sure the handbrake warning globe hasnt blown? or is it chiming when it shouldnt be

it would probably chime when driving when the handbrake is up, never tried, but it DEFINATELY chimes when the handbrake is off, it does it every time I hit a certain speed, and every few minutes when cruising at 100km/h

the light may be blown
