I have a 2000 model ss with a high output ls1 and m30/4l60e transmission. If going from a slow start I can feel a very small jerk when it shifts from 1 to 2. But if I go a full start and fully slam the accelerator it has a hard jerk. No shifting issues or grinding. All gears shift smoothly and queitly except the 2nd gear. There is a faint thud when shifting to 2nd. Is this an easy fix.
Does it have a corvete servo? If it is shifting unormally hard though I'd say you've done a celluloid. Not major
Yes the billet are a bigger surface area again. I found you get a harder more noticeable shift when accelerating with a slower build up instead of just flat knacker.
check you trans fluid level too. I've found that if the level drops too far it makes the shifts harder/harsher
Yeah that's what I thought lol, with a billet 1-2 servo you can barely drive smooth, you get thrown back in your chair even going as slow as possible. Mad fun in the wet though
Lol yeah they throw you back a bit...puts more strain on your tranny than a corvette. Its prob a celluloid if it's that bad, the shifting is suppose to be so harsh without them. You have to drop your pan though to find out.
