gont know if anyone will know but ill c lol i have a brand new harmonic balancer i got from supercheap (laybyed it as mine is OK for now) and its for a vs commodore ....BUt i know series 1 and 2 are different....the one i got said VS VT etc.... the number is KV121 on the box does anyone know if this is the correct balancer for a series 2 VS? cheers
if it fits vt than yes also would pay to ask the people at supercheap for the correct part and state that you have a series II so they can order you the right part
they have them there....3 different types one for early vn others for late vn vp vr and then there vs vt vy etc.....all 80 Bucks each. asked them and they said yes it will fit....but to be honest with teh bunch in this store they wouldn't know **** about cars...hence y i makeing sure lol cheers
I have one of those KV121 on my series 1 engine. I fitted it with a new CAS when I had a cas fault code , but after fitting it i still have the CAS code. Is this the wrong balancer for a series 1 VS ? I notice the timing 'teeth' on the back of that blancer are flat, while the original holden one had curved teeth. Is that important. Sorry to Hijack the thread JAS98, but his may help you too,
nah it cool.....may be the wrong balancer. Im going there tommorow to get price on something else so ill see about what it suits (someone that knows )
well i went back and there still seemed to be brain dead workers there. I did however check what was on the box and going buy that i think its for series 2 onwards.....ill most probly end up talking to teh manager just to make sure. if i do ill post up what he says cheers
