harmonic balancer...right one?

    gont know if anyone will know but ill c lol

    i have a brand new harmonic balancer i got from supercheap (laybyed it as mine is OK for now) and its for a vs commodore ....BUt i know series 1 and 2 are different....the one i got said VS VT etc.... the number is KV121 on the box

    does anyone know if this is the correct balancer for a series 2 VS?

    if it fits vt than yes

    also would pay to ask the people at supercheap for the correct part and state that you have a series II so they can order you the right part

    they have them there....3 different types one for early vn others for late vn vp vr and then there vs vt vy etc.....all 80 Bucks each.

    asked them and they said yes it will fit....but to be honest with teh bunch in this store they wouldn't know **** about cars...hence y i makeing sure lol

    I have one of those KV121 on my series 1 engine. I fitted it with a new CAS when I had a cas fault code , but after fitting it i still have the CAS code. Is this the wrong balancer for a series 1 VS ? I notice the timing 'teeth' on the back of that blancer are flat, while the original holden one had curved teeth. Is that important.

    nah it cool.:thumbsup:....may be the wrong balancer. Im going there tommorow to get price on something else so ill see about what it suits (someone that knows )

    they should be asking for your engine number as to supply you with the correct balancer

    Jas, did you find out if this was the right one for series 1 or 2 ?

    well i went back and there still seemed to be brain dead workers there. I did however check what was on the box and going buy that i think its for series 2 onwards.....ill most probly end up talking to teh manager just to make sure.

    if i do ill post up what he says
