Last time the car was dealer serviced and replaced under warranty the car was given back with the thermo fan connector unplugged causing it to nearly cook in my way to work the next day.
The dumb cnuts at Holden did the same thing to me when they replaced the balancer on my VE!

I've had two OEM balancers replaced in 175k/km's, though they really only seemed their best for 40-50k if not less. Finally have a Fluidampr in my hands, ready to go on sometime.

Are the factory balancers 'Made in Mexico' like the engines?
Or are they straight out of China?

My 2013 ssv wagon has only done 53k and the factory balancer was knackered,belt squeal when cold,wobbly.
Belt tensioner was also stuffed,not holding tension,pretty sad for only having done 50 thou I think.
Replaced with a powerbond unit and arp bolt,despite what others have said the arp bolt is not longer than stock,its identical in length.

there are 2 length arp bolts for the LS one suits something odd but if u dont know the part numbers u can accidentally get it, i actually got one off my mechanic that was sent the wrong size as they are good for getting the balancer started then use proper length after that

First time ive heard about that but it makes sense.
The info I found on here said that the arp 234-2503 was longer than stock and made it so much easier to refit the new balancer,which would have been awesome if it were actually correct.
Why gm didn't just put a keyway on the crank nose like almost every other motor ever built has me stumped,stupidest idea ever.....
