what sort of symptoms and noises do you get from a harmonic balancer on a VR V6 Auto wagon? when its idling the balancer looks like its running out of wack but when its running faster it seems to look ok?
Check the condition of the rubber in the centre of the balancer, if it is cracked or has pieces missing, then it's probably time to replace it. When they go they usually make a loud rattling type noise.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What he said, seems farked. Mates does the same, you can see the slight wobble at idle, rev her up, goes away. Thats Harmonics for ya LOL Just remember to change the front seal when ya change it. Seen dodgy ppl not replacing the seal, when its off. few $$ part and a few minutes extra. Stops the oil leak. Just make sure it seals properly, and stop strip the main bolt into the engine Simon
