    my harmonic balencer is buggered i cant get it fixed till next monday does is it safe to drive untill then or will it lead to somthing worse

    i think itll hit the crank angle sensor? correct me if wrong

    how is it buggered first, bits of rubber missing?

    LOL My vrs harmonic balancer blew up had no rubber in it was knocking like crazy i drove like that for 5 months and had no problems, when ur at the light put it in Neutral and rev slightly and the sound will go away so u dont attract police, leg on brake tho:p.. once i couldnt be fkd puting in neutral and i was looking at the car infront.. hes reverse light came on i was like wtf? 2-3 times he did it and he looks out the window and he like :eek: so its ur car..he thought hes car was doing it it was such a crack up!!! LOL!!!

    but ye it ddnt couse any problems for me just loud:thumbsup:

    The actual harmonic balancer is captured and the two pieces cant come apart and they move when the rubber is buggered and believe it or not are joined on a sealed bearing.The noise is the inner shart steel extension (which normally sits very close to the outer pulley)touching on the outer part of the pulley since there is some movement when the rubber is perished and the harmonics do the rest and make it sound like the thing is going to fly apart off but it cant.As for the crank angle sensor the interrupter rings are mounted on the inner shaft so even if the ballancer is buggered it cant stuff the cas.
