VFII SS-V Wagon
I'm taking receipt of my new VFii wagon at the end of April. I was looking at adding a set of HF-20s to the package though noticed the Harrop stage 1 is only $1700. Rims vs 46 extra hp seems like a no brainer, particarly being the cheaper option. Just wondering if anyone that has had the Harrop stage 1 could provide some feedback?

It's pretty good gains, though its basically an OTR and tune. They quote 46kw gain on the series 11

I had similar done to my series 1 (35kw gain) and you can notice the difference.

Just be careful on any potential warranty issues though

Cheers Pete, yeah I'm hesitant to change the exhaust just yet given how nice they sound straight out of the box. I suppose a little further down the track, that'll be the next step

You can get some nice 20"s aftermarket.
Go hard......supercharge it!

That's the dream. The Mrs is stepping out of a Mazda2 so I might give her a bit of time to get used to the extra 200kw before I go adding another 150!!

How would an OTR and MAF tune affect fuel consumption?
Am I correct in assuming it would drink less when driving normal (compared to stock) and more when heavy footed (compared to stock) ??

On the series 1 I've noticed hardly any change either way , and that's even with having AFM disabled. I'm assuming on a series 11 (with no AFM as standard) you should see a slight improvement.

Based on the dyno graph the AFR untuned at WOT with 7km on clock was 12.6:1 at 2500rpm to 10.7:1 at 6000RPM and after otr/tune/headers/full exhaust ranged from 13.2:1 at 2500RPM to 12.2:1 at 6000RPM. I guess this would suggest quite a rich stock tune comparative to the W375 tune.

Anyone know what the stage 4 Harrop 410 is like on the VF2 LS3?

Looking at doing the stage 1 Harrop upgrade after 7,000 klms.

Low rev power seems so constricted …..

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Difference in fuel consumption, place in rev range where increase in power is most noticeable etc and more importantly to me - any perceived increase in acceleration noise.

( Car is a Calais and enjoy the 'low key / understated presentation'. )
