Harrop TrueTrac LSD Rebuilds Adelaide

Hi.

mom looking at getting a 3.75 or 3.9 Harrop TrueTrac LSD conversion/rebuild on my 2014 Series 1 VF SS Commodore Sedan (auto), but I’m having a lot of trouble finding reputable places to facilitate this in Adelaide for any reasonable price.

I know I can buy them off eBay, but all the dealers inside my price range are interstate and I’d be looking to team it up with a instal as well.

Anyone have recommendations for a good place that won’t overcharge to buggery.

Also I know the Kaaz diffs are the bees knees, but they’re well outside my price range considering the other upgrades I’m considering.

What about housing? I hear some people say you have to replace housing, others say it’s fine.

The VE/VF housings are all the same, the only one with a different housing (and subsequently different centre/gears) is the LSA diff.

And only differences between V6 and V8 is the flange for the tail shaft

Try Steve at Shimtech. I have used him a fair bit. Diff builders in Adelaide are becoming hard to find. About three or four have closed down in the last few years due to retirement.

Truetrac and standard ZF housing is good for 500kws, how much are you planning on?

As before, the only different HSV diff is the LSA diff. The rest of the HSV range use the same standard ZF diff that's in every other Commodore.
