    :bang: just purchased this 93 vr ute. cleaned the battery terminals and now when i put the car into gear i blow the tran fuse? use the blinker and blow the fuse for that? can some one help pin point the problem?

    id say you put the earth lead of the car onto the positive and the positive lead onto the neg terminal of the battery (cross polarisation i think its called)

    all leads placed back to original position as the norm goes. that is what has me beat. thinking that i may have disturbed a solinoid or something of the sort?

    nah it wont be a soly. take the leads off again and wait for a little and re attach, see what happens

    Maybe the electromitters are out on the battery? Is it the right battery for your model?

    Only time I've seen thart happen it was the same problem as Classifi3d Calais says - battery terminals reversed....although the engine shoudn't run. Did you maybe remove some smaller cables from the battery and put them back on the wrong terminal?
