hi everyone, im new to the site so i hope im posting in the right place :) i have a 96 vs and recently it has devolped a problem and i was wondering if any one could help. some times when my car is idleing or slowing down it will cut out, i was thinking injector problem? and every now and again when ive been driving it for a while and turn it off park it and come and try to start it, it wont start. i then leave it for about 10 min and it then starts up so ive been thinking crank angle sensor could any one tell me if im wrong or right?

    thanks
    mitchel

i think its the crank angle sensor i had a mate that had a falcon do a similar thing and it was the sensor and as for cutting out when slowing down i did a little bit of research and what i come up with was that the crank angle sensor sends pulses to the injectors so if its not pulsing properly then the car will cut out?

it could well be, but i mentioned checking the codes (takes a few minutes) as it may not be that and you'll go through replacing it and still be having the same issue
almost exactly the same as if you took it to a mechanic, first thing they'd do is hook a tech2 up to it and look for any red flags pointing out an issue.
