Someone had fitted another wire to the fuse box under dash which was stuffing it around. Works fine now.

I just got my ILX-702D from Strathfield. It was in a non retail box and had no installation info. Did yours come with install info such as wiring etc?
The online manual only covers how to use it. There’s no wiring info.
How did you go with the handbrake wire? Older Alpines, you could just Earth it. This one, you can’t. So it looks like I’ll have to remove much of what I’ve just put back in.

I need to hard wire the camera from RCA to individual wires to mate up to the Alpine plug. No RCA camera input which not like the ILX-W650 or my ILX-007. (Great head units) could be installed in minutes. This one looks like it will be a bit more complicated.

So does anyone happen to know how to get the install guide because I spent half a day looking online.

Yes, the one I got from there has installation info. I got two manuals from there, one installation and another user manual.

I grounded the handbrake wire with no problem with the head unit.

Any chance you could post a few other schematics relating to the various looms? The supplier is chasing up the installation manual. Alpine said to them it’s on line and it’s just not. So all going well, Alpine upload the install guide as well, or I get a copy via email or post.
However if you are able to do it, it would be a good backup plan for me if you posted more from the guide.

Interesting about the handbrake wire. I keep reading how the unit needs a special adaptor to get most of the features to work.
I’ve wired my current Apline the same as you have and it’s all sorted.
I will repeat it with the new one and if it’s no good, then get the special adaptor.
