Hey guys getting my engine back from the machine shop tomorrow and going to start putting her back together I'm putting in a comp stage 2 cam form mace and was wondering if I should port and polish the heads or just clean them up and get them reconditioned witch will only cost me $220 any ideas would be fantastic cheers guys
depends on how much for porting and can you afford it? it will give you more power and a raise of compression always favours a cam
I would get new 105lb valve springs, reatiners, and collets, if I were you. Your factory ones will be getting on in life, and your going to be putting extra pressure on them. I have the MACE Stage 2 Comp Cam and ported heads in my car, and I'm playing with 148rwkw, so have fun.
