Headlight issue

G'day all,

Despite the switch being in the off position & car locked the main headlights remained on. Not full beam just normal lights. Moving the light switch to on & off position a few times did nothing however I guess the switch isn't broken as the dash lights still responded normally. Only way I could get the lights to turn off was to remove the relay. Is it more than likely just a pooched relay? Any help appreciated.

Id say youve got it right there mate, replace the relay and it should be good.

there was a recall on headlight relays for exactly that problem
old type has a blue stripe on top new ones have white
