    Hey p33pz,

Ok.... had a couple of b33rz and gotta ask a Q. My headlight switch is starting to work loose and i want to tighten it up !

    Issues are.

    A. not familiar with access to rear of dash area.

    B. Lazy, cant be buggered ripping **** to bits.

    C. LOL B33r !

Seriously though, i've dropped the fuse panel access flap and cant get at it.. i see the air channel vent is attached with Phillips head screws and maybe i can get access if i remove this?

If i had the time to fart around with it i'd figure it but as i sit here with cold frosty b33r i am choosing the easyout and gonna drop the Q. in the hope that someone who has removed a dash or had to do the same can take the time to make it a "colour by numbers" procedure for me.

    Cheers Pog.

P.S. i can stil spel beta than most wif alkahol muddein my thorts.LOL

    Spelchekka b0rked.

    Pog.

Pull the centre of the switch off, the bit you turn to switch on your lights. Then holding the centre part of the switch, rotate the outer section until the slots line up with the tabs, the switch will then come out. It is advisable to have the dash facia undone because the switch can fall into the dash. There are 2 screws at the top as you look at the speedo, and there are about 6 or 7 clips that just pull out around the rest of it. The reason it comes loose is that the surround twists in the facia and jumps out of its locating points.

Nice work Not_An_Abba_Fan. One of the first problems when I got my current VR was this switch being loose. I made up a bracket, it has done the job and never bothered me since, but I spose I should fix it up properly. Will have a crack at it on Friday.

pogmahon, this guide will help you get the dash fascia out.
