High all, i don't know if this has been asked before but with VZ commodores because they have the the system that tells you if a bulb is out, and because they have plastic headlamps is it OK to up the voltage on the bulb, ie from 55/65 and 50 watts to higher ? or will this cause damage to the system/ headlamp assembly? Thanks. Also can anyone tell me how to get supper blue bulbs with out going HID?
getting some phillips 'blue vision' or 'performance gt' (i think there called) bulbs will get you that nice white bluey beam and give you more light output, getting higher wattage bulbs can cause damage to the vehicles wiring and/or melt the housing in the headlights
Alot aye, i drive from Gouburn to Canberra 5 days a week for work, and at least one of those is in the dark, plus i live on the country road so i would like to think my head lights are good enough for me to see Skippy before he damages my pride and joy aye.
Apart from an increased area of darkness one (or both) sides of the front of car, how does the 'Holden system' tell you if you have a bulb out?
high spec models have this feature, im unsure about execs etc but the bcm detects the load on the circuit and if its below a pre-determined amperage it sets alarm bells off - i believe
