    Hello,
I have been searching everywhere for SV6 Series II LED headlights but not having much luck. Only headlight upgrades I can find are HID's but I am noticing a lot of people saying that they are illegal to have without certain conditions being met? Is there anywhere which sells headlight upgrades (preferably with LED's) for series II?

Do you mean the headlights with DRL's built into them?

Just my 2c - I used aftermarket headlights in my ute. I've now gone back to the OEM ones since they were sunburnt after 4 months, if you're after more light perhaps look at getting some phillips "extreme vision" bulbs.

Hid upgrade is ok. Just make sure they are aimed properly and you use 6000 k globes so the light is still a white colour

Mate you should really use projectors if you are going HID, I don't think there are any DRL headlights for S2 yet but i could be wrong.

5000K is better if you want WHITE.
6000K is starting to be blue-ish.
Personally, I prefer 4300K which is brighter than both of the above and only has a minor yellow tint.

As said though, HID upgrade is illegal. If you use the projector headlights, the HID works properly but it's still an illegal mod so you COULD get defected. I have them in my car and haven't had a problem though. If you want to stay legal, then Philips 'X-tremeVision" are regarded as the best mainstream bulbs.

If you get HID get 50w High beams and 35w for the lows, Oh and get the newer digital "slim line" ballast units.

    Thanks for the replies
Is there any place in WA which will fit these lights properly that you know of? I'm too worried I'll have it the wrong height and get defected =\

As long as you have them in the SSV headlights and they're not hitting people in the eyes; you'll be fine :)

Being illegal if you go 8000k and aim them up too much mate I've had 6000k hid on my ss with normal lenses for 12 months NEVER been flashed once and police Haven't said or done a thing keep yellow Parkers to blend out the color a bit.

Also there are integrated ballast hid kits for ve on Ebay no ballast or wiring needed the ballast is screwed into where the dust cover used to screw in.

The yellow doesn't "blend out the colour a bit" it makes the HID look even more blue and the parkers look even more yellow. That's exactly why I've been through 4 difference sets of LED parkers to find some that match the HID and not make my headlights look half completed.

Bullshit! I have my factory Parkers still doesn't make the HID stick out like dogs balls and that's what you want when you don't have projectors! Your worrying too much just get the integrated HID kit 6000k off Ebay 130 roughly for low beam and 150 roughly for high beam. If your paranoid either don't do it or get projectors but as I said not one single car has flashed me since I put them in about a year ago. They look sexy specially the high beam and the stock Parkers are barely noticeable not worth changing if anything makes the white light appear to be like halogen diamond vision. Someone should be able to provide you with a link to Ebay but type in 6000k HID kit ve commodore.

Sorry, I was comparing my projector HID with stock parkers. I'm sure it would look different with no projectors and all your light flaring

Unfortunately, I've never seen a HID kit put into stock reflectors and not have light flaring so I find it hard to believe. If you don't get high beamed, who cares, right? :)
