Just saw something weird. I was sitting in the garage and my VY's lights just turned on by themselves. The switch was set to auto and there were no keys in the ignition ie it was off. The car hasn't been used in about 5 days so I was surprised to see them go on by themselves. I have turned the switch to off and they turned off, turned it back to auto and they did not come on. I've left the switch turned off just in case it does it again. Has anyone ever had this happen or can offer any advice as to what can make this happen? I had a flat battery about 6 months ago so I am now guessing this may have been the cause as it charged up OK and load tested OK and the car normally draws very little load when it's parked. Any advice would be appreciated.
If you go into your settings using the mode button on the dash have you got the headlights set to come on when you unlock your doors?
Yes if the headlight switch is on auto the headlights will come on when I unlock the doors with the remote. I didn't open the doors or touch the remote when this happened. The car was in the garage and I was down there and the lights came on. I've got the headlight switch turned to off while it's parked in the garage now. I will have look in the settings and turn that function off.
