Yes, that would be a good idea, to save the cables from becoming brittle,
and especially protecting the Connector/Plugs which can also cause intermittent connections.

They are bit pricey,
but I guess after reading the specs on the item, and if it does its job,
its has to be a good option.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll pick some of the ones from Supercheap up. Do you think there is a chance of anything else melting from the extractor heat?

After 30+ years in the industry, under bonnet heat is no different whether you have extractors or not. The only time it is an issue is when wires and cables are too close because they have not been routed correctly after header fitment.
