I noticed the vac line to the heater tap came off and then notices that the tap just hangs and the bottom hose rubs on the rail so is there a bracket that holds the tap to the tower?

Yes mate there is a plastic clip/bracket that grips the tap and holds it in place. If your tap has been replaced ?, may be it was left off. Surely a new one from holden shouldnt be that much,if they sell them seperate from the heater tap,or go to the wreckers and grab one

    It was probably broken off.
You dont need to remove the bracket when replacing the tap.
    The tap just clip's off.

I'd go try find a good one from a wrecker's.

They are somewhat fiddly to get off without breaking it, So it may be hard to find a good one.

Plug the vacuum line back on.
    Bob's you're dad!
