heater core question/idea

    hi
    does anyone know if a heater core out of a vs is the same size as a vt or can be made to work?
    mine is leaking and i have got three prices for new at over $300 nz and $120 second hand. new is to expensive and even second hand is dear but i have a wrecked vs in my drive that i know the heater works sweet as in.
    im in new zealand
    any thoughts?

    it will work no problem, it'll b the piping thats bent different. IMO dont bother with 2nd hand as u may find if it goes again u'll need 2 do it all over again, it may last it may not, its a gamble but 4 a job like this ur best off buying brand new.

    have u looked on the aussie ebay? get it shipped 2 u it would b much cheaper than $300 id imagine. as said in the other thread i got mine 4 $110 brand new off ebay which turned out 2 b a local radiator guy in perth so didnt have 2 pay 4 postage.

    thanx yea i know what you mean about not wanting to do it again cause iv pulled about three quarts it apart and its been like that for weeks but i have to put up with it cause i need to use it for work.
    i havent tried ebay as im not sighned in but maybe ill look into it, nz prices are rediculise! i was hoping i could get something for around a hundy over here but dosnt look like it,
