Last week I changed my water pump, this week I replaced the radiator and top and bottom hose, all of a sudden my heater is working, would there have been a pressure issue the whole time causing the issue? Or what may have fixed it? Cheers
I thought you said it was working now? Maybe it wasn't pressurising before you replaced the radiator and hoses and that has encouraged the on/off tap to work again? Just a guess.
Lol, it WAS heating haha, thinking may need to look at the heater core, as there has to be a leak somewhere, not only is heater not working again, but idling, car is still hitting 3/4 and kicking in the fan which it never used to do, used to stay at 1/2 max
Temps when fan kick in are 'normal'....to check heater - engine idling - dial COLD - at heater tap remove vacuum hose and you should see the cranked arm on tap move - if it doesn't move tap is jammed - if no hiss when you remove vacuum hose you have lost vacuum and you will need to find out why. Report back.
Well I pulled the plug off the sensor, counted to 1 min and no fans turn on, replaced both fuses under the bonnet, tried again and still no fan. What do I do to diagnose the problem? I don't have a multimeter yet, but I do have a cheap shitty circuit testing screwdriver thingy lol
You're supposed to pull the hose off the heater tap and you're pulling a plug off the sensor??? - that's to check if the fans are working. Think ya might have meant it for another thread?
