Hi guys, my holden commodre VS has a problem on my dash. The battery light keeps coming on when i brake or step off the gas and when i accelerate up to 3,000 rpm the light goes away.

Does anyone know the problem ? As I've already changed the battery and the light is still showing.

cheers guys~ :)

It could be the alternator not charging properly. May need to recondition/replace your alternator.

I'd check the regulator....on the back of the alternator.

the best way to check the altonator is to get a multi meter and start the car and see if the battery is charging at low revs then rev it up a lil if the numbers dont go up then the regulator is faulty, but then again could be a problem with the running gear in the altonator, if that all is fine the there is a further fault
