i am trying to buy a vr v6
i dont know where the engine number is or the body number
how many letters/numbers are there in each
also is revs worth it or is there a better site to check

ive found the engine number:w00t:
shouldnt the body number be stamped on the radiator support

The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is under the windscreen glass low down on the passenger side (looking from the outside)...just under where the rego sticker goes. It's under the glass so that it cannot be tampered with.
