Hi, all the old mates here, could you help to confirm if a fault MAP sensor or related vacuum tube will result engine misfire?
My VR 1994 executive’ engine will misfire when idle almost once a week. Very rarely, engine will stop when driving slowly. Frustrated.
Any other suggestions?
I just changed new spark plugs and I tested the resistance of the ignition leads and they should be ok.

a vacuum leak can cause rough idling etc and possibly a slight miss. there is a vacuum canister under the left side ( passenger side) front gaurd in front of the wheel, trace the vacuum line from this back to look for leaks etc. also check the vacuum line from the TB to the MAP sensor, replace if suspect. give the TB a good clean also including the IAC valve and associated passages, it's easiest to remove the TB and use a can of carb cleaner

Engine suddenly cutting out is often the crank angle sensor. If it wont start straight away, pour some water behind harmonic balancer then try. This only works when engine is at full temp. Very expensive to replace though.

thanks mate,
how much is it to replace an angle sensor?
after the cutting off, i can always re-start the engine easily.
