Hey guys, yet another problem with my piece of rubbish VS.

Over the last few days the temps been sitting a lot higher than it normally does, even chimed once it was that high and had to turn it off. At the same time, and tonight the fuel reading that tells you how many litres per 100km its using, both the avg and the instant died. The instant is showing 0.1L - 0.5L when driving at 100 on the hwy.....

can anyone shed some light on what might be the issue? ABS OFF light is on on the dash, right rear wheel sensor isn't giving a reading - i don't know if this is related as the car was driving ok before that and the ABS light was still on.

Really got me stumped, any advice appreciated. going to do an error codes check now.

    cheers

I just replaced my BCM, so I don't know if the BCM would have any affect on it?

I'm thinking i'm gonna chase up a BCM with the correct part number.

Could it be the tune I just put in?

It could be the tune,if you do something to the car and then things start going on then you have to look at what you did to it,and mate your car isnt a piece of rubbish at all

These cars will get hotter when sitting still idling in traffic or whatever.Mine sits just under a quarter on the temp gauge when driving around, but once its sitting in traffic, it will go to around half way, then the cooling fan kicks in and drops it back to around a quarter again.

If your getting 0/100 kms while driving the cluster could be at fault. Is the car really getting hot or is the cluster giving "I'm gunna die" signal?

Possibly, the tune has been in and working fine for a few weeks before this though. Thanks haha, just gets frustrating I have to keep putting so much time and money into it I just wanna drive it an enjoy and not have to worry anymore lol.

Yeah it could be, but I don't see why it would randomly die haha. I've got that one from you which I might put in tomorrow. It's running abnormally hot, even on the highways at 100km/h on a cold day its on 1/2. But sitting in traffic waiting to get onto the westgate the other day it went above 3/4 and chimed at me, so switched it off then. Just generally not liking how warm it's getting, doesn't seem normal for it.

And then the 0L 100 thing just pissed me off lol.

Tacho needle randomly bounced today, not sure why. Inst. fuel reading has been coming on and off.

Can anyone shed some light on what this could be?

    thoughts:

recently installed new coil packs and ignition module - brand new off ebay, could these be playing up?

bcm is getting replaced with the correct part number soon. it's really driving me mental anyone know what would cause this?
