i just put in superlows all round, and now i have the problem where if i jack it up, the wheel doesn't rise up until you jack it up really high i guess i need shortened shocks, but i heard you only need shortened shocks for ultra lows, not super also, the springs fall out when i jack it up, which could be an issue in an emergency any ideas aside from new shocks? also, what is this part? its connected to nohting and are these bushes fuked? THANKS!
just get the monroe shocks for cars with fe2 suspension. i have them in mine, with ultras and the springs dont fall out the part that "connects to nothing" is your bump stops, you need them, so the axle doesnt bash the chassis. yep, those bushes are stuffed, theyre mainly there to keep the spring from moving around and scraping the chassis making rotten noises and wearing the metal away.
thanks for the quick replies will check out some new bushes, as i have been hearing clunks and thunks while turning and coming to stops probabbly the bushes will check out new shocks, but i was led to believe only ultra lows needed shortned shocks wrong info?
definately wrong info. lows you can get away without short shocks, but superlows and lower, generally need shorter shocks. the fact that you yourself can see the springs fall out when its jacked up tells you that you need short shocks.
King Springs reccomend shortened shocks be fitted with even Low Springs, let alone superlows and lower.
