- 1986 VL Commodore Berlina Wagon
I have a VL commodore berlina station wagon with a slight rust problem on the tailgate. I am trying to fix this myself. I am going to take the window out so I can prep, clean and paint but I am going to have to break the hard plastic seals around the window. The VL has hard plastic trim on the outside in addition to silicone around the window instead of a rubber seal.
Does anyone know where I can get replacement plastic trim pieces or any other ways of sealing the window in so it looks original.
Someone also suggested I put in a VK wagon window as it used rubber seals. Is this a good idea. will it work? (it also means I have to re tint the rear window).
