HI Guys

As I am new please be patience -

I have completed a v8 conversion from a vs auto to a vp auto - everything was great until there are 2 plugs under the dash board behind the glove box that don't match or plug into anything - I also have an issue with the transmission as it doesn't change gears , everything else is fine . starts drives beautiful BUT

Are you using the VP electronics? I.e. loom and ECU? And in which car?

Did you install the kickdown cable?

The VP TH700 is not controlled electronically by the ECU like the the 4L60e from the VS, the VS ECU has no provision to tell the gearbox to change gears. Realistically the better way to do it would have been to use the VS 304 with the VP V8 loom and ECU. Also probably worth mentioning that if you haven't had the memcal altered to accommodate the VP box, it may go into limp home mode eventually.

Are you using the kickdown cable? The VP box uses this to change gears. And this is in a VP, yes?
