Long story short, my vy broke down, it has fuel pressure, has ignition on the dash, turns over but has no spark at all, has anyone got an idea of what to try?
    Cheers guys

Take a lead off coil towers and try and start does it spark?

    Scan for error codes

What do you mean it broke down? We need some more information.....

I've looked at plug 1 and 3, no spark in eather, which is 2 coils,
I was just driving to work 1 morning and it just stopped, no hesitation, no spitting, not running rough, just stopped, it turns over but it does not sound like it wants to start

Check all fuses and relays. Check to see if you have injector pulse, use a spare Parker light, bend out the pins and stick it in a connector of a injector and see if it flashes. If so we know the crank angle sensor is good and I'd be thinking the DFI module.

All fuses and relays have been checked, I'll try the Parker light when I get home, is the dfi module its own component or is it also called the ignition module?

Yes it's the part under the 3 ignition coils. Easy to replace.

If you have a dead cas it won't know when spark etc

Agree with the crank angle sensor.. In the old VN days I had an issue that a bottle of water on the CAS sorted.

I had the same issue with mine turned out to be the fuel pump relay , mechanic also told me at the time could be a crank angle sensor issue . The DFI module can also cause this as the is a power pin that goes directly to the crank angle sensor hope that helps.

VY doesn't work like that. You need a aldl scanner. Unless I've missed something completely.

In my commodore book, your right, it says only a series 1 vt you can bridge, everything else you need a scan tool
