Could someone please tell what the little black box at the back of the motor just under the fuel line and one of the hoses goes to the fuel line the other is a vacuum hose and goes onto the throttle body at the bottom..please help:bang:
Or! I just thought, it could be the Throttle Position Sensor. Have you got a pick of the little black box in question?
What it does exactly I'm not too sure. But it's called the Idle Air Control valve, so one would think it has something to do with that. I'm pretty sure it's one of the main things that controls the idle of your car, and keeps it idling smooth.
Buggered if I really know,...BUT!!!!.. I think it is part of the emission control setup which 'purges' the fuel vapors from the fuel tank to stop them escaping into the atmospher by burning them off in the engine?? via the hose which goes into the bottom of the throttle body (the pipe that falls off, judging by recent posts) Pablo
