what fool hides behind the curtains while cops tow his car away, then gets on the internet and admits driving illegaly/ or dobs mate in for driving illegally. what fool has such close mates he doesnt know if they are liscensed or not. did you leave the keys in the car as well? thats an offence too. sadly, everything about the whole scenario makes you look like a damn fool.
mate driveing unlicenced fines are alot beter then haveing your car and bellongings towed away.......and if they have your wallet and belongings there gonna come knocking on your door anyway and think YOU stole it...go down and explain that you bought it and so forth.......u can even get vitcims of crime compo and **** if the offender is caught i think
i reckon he had it stolen for him. Now he is shitting himself. Otherwise the cops in Canberra are useless if they havent been knocking on his door yet lol.
yea i agree with kwik6 i reackon theres more to the story then hes tellin lol. wot r u worries about if u didnt steal it? u say u have reciepts from the person u bought it from? did u just see them on the side of the road or did u go to the persons house? if u went to there house, then send the cops around there and show them the reciept. u gotta be careful wen buyin cars mate. its a sad fact of life but ppl DO steal cars and sell them to young gullable teenagers from u sorry to say. just o to the cop station with ur mum and tell them ur story, show them the reciept u have (if u have one) and stop hidin coz ur only gonna get in more **** and its gonna look bad for ya.
Most states have a government website where you can put in the rego number and find out if the car is currently registered, if the rego matches the car you are looking at (clolour, year, make) whether there is any money left owing on the vehile and most importantly if the car is stolen.
If You keep running there gunna think you had something to do with it! So if i was you i'd drag my arse down to the cops and explain what happened. i've herd this story before, you won't get in **** but you won't get your car back or the stuff in it unless you have recepts. so get down there before they accuse you of stealing it and then saying your blaming it on some one else to get out of ****.
if you didn't steal the car and the cops didn't see who was driving then its hearsay and theres no proof unless you fessed up and admitted who was driving. If you did then its your fault that your wallet got towed away. Cops are usualy helpful in that department if your cleen but in this case as they'd rather fry the bigger fish that sold you the car. to me it seems that your hideing something
I imagine his actions are related to the fact he is 15 and still really a kid. He is stressing and not sure what to do next. At that age you don't tend to think rationally or logically ie: see the cops out the front and go outside and ask what is going on, instead you panic, hide behind the curtains then lay low hoping it all goes away. C.
if your 15 how old are your mates with the licences, to be a learner driver under supervision of a open licenced driver they have to be at least 21 being they got their licence when they were 17. Im pretty sure learner drivers are only allowd to drive under supervision of an open licenced driver of at least 1 year. It used to be licence of one year written in the learners book but re'wrote it.
Maybe we should have a sticky containing links for each state?! I know it took me ages to find the Tassie one. About 1/2 an hour of browsing the Service Tasmania site.
https://online.revs.nsw.gov.au/revs/public.htm All you need is the vehicle VIN and engine number and you can check it all. Can be used for any state australia wide. AirStrike :air:
Also do a encumbermant check: Making sure someone hasn't got an interset in it. (i.e. someone hasn't used it as collateral for a loan) For nsw its: http://www.revs.nsw.gov.au/ might be the same for ACT as it's pretty much NSW (face it people) Also there are places around set up to give free legal advice for young'ens tell them all that you know and they'll help ya.
There no Tas on the list. Or WA. I don't know about the other states government sites, but the tassie one, all u need is the rego number and it tells you: Registration Status Expiry Date Engine Number Financial Security of the Vehicle Is the Vehicle stolen Is the Vehicle wrecked Is the vehicle a statutory write-off and Is the vehicle a repairable write-off. Do you get the same from other government sites?
Hrmm it's sounding a bit dodgy to me - as if you either stole it or knew that it was stolen. 15 is young but not stupid. I'm surprised your mum hasn't dragged your arse to the cop shop yet. If you are innocent go to the police station and explain why you hadn't contacted them earlier, because you would be looking very suspicious by this stage. Tell them the truth, why you were scared to confront them.
If he was my 15yr old son 1. I would wanna know where he got the money to buy a car and 2. He wouldnt b moving it outta the yard till I had proof whoever was gonna drive it was fully licenced. That kid is up to no good ....
