the black peice of the left in the 2nd photo is my oil filter, does anyone know where exactly the leak cud be comming from around there? or had this problem b4, it needs to fixed quick too oil is going down rather quickly

would i be able to fix it myself? or need a mechanic to check it out?

    any help much appreciated

    thanks

Give it a degrease around the wet area or a wipe down, than start the engine and have a look.Might be the oil pressure switch or the oil filter.

I'd be guessing at the oil pressure switch thingo.

When you say losing oil - engine or steering?

That really big pulley is the power steering pump. You will probably find that one of the hoses going to that is leaking, most likely the return hose. That is the one with the hose clamp on it. Try tightening it first and see how you go.
