Could be for your oxygen sensor, if you have 1 on drivers side bank. My VR SS only has 1 on passenger but think by VS Holden had upgraded to 2 oxygen sensors

is there any think near there that it looks like it plugs too ? check the oxy sensors to c if they hooked up , if so its most probably a extra that's not needed.

As above, looks like its the plug for the variable speed rack.

Could be either you have one and it's not connected for some reason, or someone has replaced it with a standard rack (popular and cheap replacement when the racks let go)

Its been replaced. But its definately a variable rack..
They have plugs on the rack?

And I read up that all 5ltrs had 1 oxy. Funny enough the scan tool says drivers side oxy error tho. When its on the passenger and ive already replaced it

Also fairly sure that the 304's only have one O2 sensor. Fairly damn certain that the O2 sensor plugs look different anyway.

yea oxy plug is waterproof.. I don't like assuming its not needed, my car isn't running the best I assumed manifold leak but id like to know where a lost plug fits if anyone has been behind there before

cars do have spares for extras add on's , maybe ya mate took a helping to it, if it worries you so much take it to your mechanic and while you are there book it in for a major service , or change the plugs leads , filters and oil and why not chuck in some injector cleaner, then it might run better.
