hi just brought my new ride and now the rear door is stuck shut.How can i open the door ive tried pressing the remote and pulling on the door disconecting the battery nothing worked.any ideas on how to open the door would be great.
Does it feel like its grabbing on the striker still or just stuck? Tried getting in against from the inside and lifting the lever from inside and giving it a good thump with your shoulder?
I had a faulty child lock in my old VP that wouldn't let the door open at all... I had to punch a hole through the door to get to it though.
Sounds to me like a failed locking mechanism or a wire going to the actuator has failed. Haven't done anything like working on stereo or anything like that? Window and speaker work? Tried removing the inner handle and pulling the metal inner door locking arm rod? Possibly work on it yourself, sacrifice the inner trim and using a dremel tool and patience, mark it out and cut away the inner trim and remove and start fiddling. In my old vn somebody had put the child lock on then snapped off the outer handle... I had to take off the trim inside the car (with the door closed) and disengage the child lock in order to open it Sent from my GT-I9100T using Tapatalk 2
i got it opened without breaking anything.i had to unclip the plastic trim covering the seatbelt to get access to the side screws on the doortrim then pop the window switch out and the screw under the door handle.then i just reefed up the door trim it pops off just enough to get your hand in.there is a rod going to the door locking mechanism i yanked on that and pop the door open.found out it was a failed actuator and it was stuck on deadlock.so at least i can stop passing my baby through the window.
