Hey guys, Just took all my wheels off to spray my callipers, left them on aswell as pads and covered it all with paper....all was fine put wheels back on then pushed the car a bit further down he drive whilst in neutral. as I pushed the car one of the front wheels started squealing, havent taken it for a drive since as im afraid ill do damage... Any ideas what could be causing this? also didnt take much notice before but when i look at it now the tyre is very close to the spring, not sure how close it was before.... any help would be appreciated.
Probably just paint on the disc/in the pads, take it for a quick spin around the block, ride the brakes a bit see if it goes away.
Have a look at the wheel on the other side to see if it is the same distance from the spring . Are you sure the wheel was seated on the hub properly before you tightened the wheel nuts ? Try jacking it up and spinning the wheel to see if it turns smoothly or if it wobbles.
