I have found what i believe is a 98 VT 1 Clubsport. Its repo that is heading for auction and i may be able to get it VERY cheap. It has the HSV ID tag on the LH tower, number on dash, clubby cloth coulson seats and a sunroof.Has 195i motor etc.Bloddy thing has 15in rims with hubcaps.
Tha car wont run but turns over.It seems to have an elect issue and the aftermarket alarm is going to be removed to see if that is the prob.Sounds like the car will go for around 5 or 6g and i would like to know if its genuine.

Thanks for that.Honestly the car is pretty mint,no wear and tear inside or out.If it had the original wheels it would look the part.has the 250klm dash, twin cat HSV exhaust.Tag looks like it hasnt been touched.
The reason i could get it cheap is because i have a friend that does work for the auction place like RW checks and minor mechanical issues so i may be able to get in early.
From what i can see the only non original things on the car are the VT series 2 tail lights and side repeaters.
If i can get it cheap i will sell off the VQ and the little 1990 pulsar vector i got last month. Its not the ideal car i want just a stepping stone.

Well i checked it out and found out it IS a Clubsport and it all seems to match up.Sunroof doesnt seem to be on the option list but there are two options it has with no decription. They are option A8Z and V9R.
What has me puzzled is it says it has stock 15x6 rims fitted from new and it has stockies on it now too.Car is from NSW new and is now regoed in Vic.Ive ben told to have a good look at it and make an offer. What do you guys think? Its has had its imoboliser messed with(cut wires) and needs to be sorted and thats about it.

To me this sound dodgy. Few things you mentioned is quite unusual. Are you sure this not a re-birth as a Clubby with stolen Vin or something?? I'd be suspicious especially if the immob is cut and few other things like the wrong wheels etc....

I know its quite temping when its so cheap but I want to prevent you get disappointed later if you ever find out that its fake or something.

But good luck buying it and hopefully you are happy with it. Have you got anymore info on the car's history??

Dont think its sus myself, car was repoed from owner.I have all the paperwork from Holden stating what it is.Sunroof could have been fitted after car was built. Its quite common for people to mess with their cars if they know they are getting taken off them.My AU ute was messed with too when i got it from the auctions.According to Holden it has the correct wheels.Sounds weird i know but thats whats on their computer.

No as i said in a previous post it doesnt run due to a elect issue. If i can get it cheap i dont mind getting the elect sorted. The car wil get fixed where it is now but i wont pay full price for the work like the auction place would. Some fast takling from my friend should get me a good price for the car.

Best of luck with the offer mate! If its all genuine and stuff, it sounds like you've got a great car for a great price :)

Well they turned down the offer,i offered $7g and they want $9g for it.I know $9g is still cheap for a clubby but its out of my reach at the moment and i have to let it go.I even had some gold R8 rims organised for it with new tyres for $1200.Very bummed about it actually.Oh well will look for somethinng else later as im about to lose my license for a while.
