Apparently there are 5 screws holding it in, two on the top at the back on each side around where the tweeters are and 3 underneath. If anyone wants the section for removing it all from the tech cd message me and ill send you a download link.

Too many to list......
Mate it's really easy take the center console out as a unit, take the side covers off, take the glove box mounting and the pieces under the windscreen out undo a few bolts and screws and the radio housing and it should pop right out.

If that photo you posted is of your car I wouldn't worry about your passenger air bag as according to the name plate it doesn't have one.

Has anyone removed their dashpad and say redone it with leather or anything like that? I reckon some sort of stitched leather on the dashpad would look awesome and be totally unique (for a Commodore that is).

You could remove the dash pad with the I info ask whytheface then spray adhesive leather/vinyl down but I reckon it would be hard to get smooth as the material wont have a lot of stretch and its not an easily smooth so single planed surface but anything is possible would just take time
