Right , the first problem is a small anoying sound, like stones stuck in the tread if the tyres which increases with road speed .Have pulled off all 4 wheels to check for stones but none there .
The second problem is had a flat battery ,Let it charge all day at work , refitted battery but noticed that when engine is under load it starts to ping .
Has anyone else hand these problems ¿.
    Thanks, Dave

    1 prob, try wheelbearing...............
2nd prob, check your oil, put a injector cleaner in the fuel tank one that specifies stops pinging........

What about nails in the tyre, They are very hard to spot, I have had 3 in the last year, Bitch to find, Most annoying noise driving.

that is also a possibility, they may not be exposed when off the car, but when the tyre is spread under pressure(weight of car) it might be exposing it......... can you borrow a set of wheels from someone just to put on to see if the noise is still there? try that, then you'll know if its ya tyres or something on the car itself

    That's a good idea..
One of mine went flat over night, I was lucky, But ones on the VP just made noise, Then one day i took the tyres to the tyre place, And they found one in there, Had to cut some of the tyre to remove it:eek:. But it's cheap to fix about $10 ?.

Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts evenly and gradually. if the wheel doesn't seat properly will cause this

Well i finally found out what the noise was . After swaping rims with my son which made no difference, i had a look under the car and after about 10 minutes i found that someone had put a cable tie around my tail shaft. I was informed that it was the young guy at work who thought it was a great joke .But as the old saying goes " paybacks a bitch" so i put a stack of Chep pallets infront of his car and waved to him as i drove off .
Hang on a minute , whats this in my pocket? oh look, its the key to the forklift plus the spare key , what a shame looks like someone will be walking home tonight or unstacking 15 pallets by hand
