hi folks i am new to the site so i might be in the wrong place. i was hoping if someone could help with some numbers of a vh i am about to purchase.

ok,im trying to organise a permit to drive the vehicle and they are the numbers i have been given as it hasnt been regoed for 3 years

Probably the chassis number as said above.

I have a 88 Calais and when I went to register it for the first time they basiclly told me that my car doesnt exist.

The guy on the phone ended up working out that it was a chassis number and not a VIN, Holden swapped from chassis number to VIN some time in 88 I guess. No idea why a guy at the rego office would run around in circles for half a hour when hes the one that is paid to know what hes doing.

just looked a my neighbours sle and i have been given the chassis no. going by similar numbers on his left strut tower. his is cvh.......................a where what i have been given is bvh........
will ring vicroads tomorrow and hopefully these numbers will be suitable
