Hi, I have a VS Commodore UTE 3.8 and it stalls when below half a tank and only when turning a hard right, any ideas why?
Cas ? I had thought about that but it does not start for a little while after it stalls. like its staving for fuel.
there are a few threads on this one, do a few searches for fuel pumps on here and you may find the answer in the VS section. its to do with the return line to the swirlpot in the fueltank, from what ive read its an internal hose in the tank that sometimes comes off and needds to be popped back on and maybe clamped too.
I have the page bookmarked, when I get home if I remember (My memory is baaaaaaad!) i'll post a link, otherwise search is your friend, infact your thread title would be an excellent search string choice.
i made a post about this a while back for my old VR... this is the best explanation ive heard on the subject, send your thank yous to ephect. http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/vr-vs-holden-commodore-1993-1997/72197-dodgy-fuel-pump.html
Thanks Thanks all, This sounds spot on to the problem i having. When i get a chance ill have a look. Thanks again.
