    my vt ss is auto and i have a delay when it goes into drive then it goes (clunk ) just before it takes off???

    if someone has an idea please help me out?

    hmm mm my car did develop this and it got worse and the out come was (quick close your eyes) gear box.
    lol hope its not with yours though if its done some k's and you drive it like i do mine, it may be.
    get the fault codes tested.

    the drivelines do have allot of slack in them, from the box to the tailshaft to the diff then the driveshafts there are many areas for play to develop and they certainly do, if delaying going into drive for more than a fraction of a second sounds like transmission to me. Does it clunk on gear changes or when braking and its changing down?
